Upwey Group (formally Black International) - based in Melbourne, Australia has been the exclusive agent for the DUAL Products Intl. range of valves within the Australia/Asia Pacific region for over 10 years.
DUAL Products International cc located in Benoni, South Africa founded in the late 80’s by Gerry Van Rensburg is a company with experience in design and manufacture of specialized valves for high pressure and high wear applications developed through years of dealing with the mining industry in South Africa thus providing solutions to the multitude of deep mine dewatering and surface slurry valve issues.
DUAL Products manufactures valves of its own proprietary design. The primary manufacturing operation encompasses fabricating parts from plate stock and tube, sourcing of machined components, assembly and testing of equipment for the international mining and power generation markets.
Upwey Group Pty Ltd has grown from the original 1 man team of Alan Black in the early years to a present staff of five in the Mitcham (VIC) office overseeing local sales, service as well as opening a branch office in Wangara (WA), manned by Justin Mirto, in June 2006.
Dual Valves Asia Pacific Pty Ltd was opened officially on the 1st February 2008 as the manufacturing division under license to Dual Products South Africa.

Our Mission is to produce simple, rugged industrial quality slurry valves and other processing equipment that will provide excellent performance and value for our customers.
OUR PRODUCTS:
UPWEY Group represents a number of internationally respected manufacturers and OEM suppliers of associated valves and equipment used within mining, wastewater treatment, power generation and general industry. In addition to the manufacturers listed below we also supply standard valve ranges such as knife gates, ball valves, check valves and cast steel gate valves for applications too numerous to list below.
- DUAL slurry valves – DUAL combination ball check and isolation valve, FreeFlow, SlimLine and FlowStop ball check valves, Rotary Disc valve, ARV air valve/vacuum breaker, Dashley double ball check and changeover valve, DDNRV double non-return and changeover valve and DSKGV slurry knife gate valves with replaceable sleeves.
- Vibramech – Vibrating screen equipment
- ATVAL – Knife gate and pinch valves
- BSM – (Bulkmatic Solids Machinery) for dry bulk handling equipment
- MinMetals Australia – Drop and roll-forged carbon steel grinding media
- General purpose knife gate, cast steel gate valves, ball valves, check valves and HP butterfly valves
DEVELOPMENTS AND IMPROVEMENTS:
Since the inception of the flagship DUAL (combination ball check and isolation) valve, users throughout Australia and Asia Pacific have keenly adopted and embraced the features of this unique range of valves developed to provide dewatering and slurry valve solutions to piping/process engineers and end users alike. Continuous feedback from Australian users especially has not only enabled the improvement of our product, but has allowed us to introduce a range of cast steel designs to complement the fabricated range – initially within the SlimLine ball check valves only, but increasing into the Rotary Disc and Knife Gate valve ranges too.

We have recently supplied equipment and product to the following countries (excluding Australia) and with the introduction off the Australian manufacturing facility, our target is too expand international market penetration.
